Our Faith & Values

Seeking to honor The Lord in all that we do.

Our Vision

As a body of believers at Bethel Baptist Church, we are committed to sharing the one true Gospel message that Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), as well as being the only hope for the world. We, as committed believers at Bethel, are yearning for spiritual renewal and Christ-centered living and recognizing the challenge of Jesus to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. In order to allow the Holy Spirit to bring about this life of holiness, we seek to:

  • Make the kingdom of God the priority in our own personal lives.

  • Dedicate the energies and resources of the ministries we lead to seeking first the King and His kingdom.

  • Cooperate with each other and other churches of like-minded believers as we pursue kingdom principles and practices.

  • Pray for a Holy Ghost revival among the brethren that leads to a new passion for Jesus and this revival sweeps out among our people, our families, and our churches from which God can forge a spiritual movement marked by holy living, sacrificial service, and global witness.

  • Be an Acts 1:8 church that is empowered by God to be His witnesses in every place we could possibly go and make disciples.

Our Values

Christ-Likeness

We depend on the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and prayer to make us more like Jesus Christ.

Truth

We stand together in the truth of God’s inerrant and infallible Word; we hold that every “jot and tittle” in the Bible is the God-breathed Word of truth that never changes.

Future

We value Christians of all generations and embrace our responsibility to pass this charge to a rising generation in every age, faithful until Jesus comes.

Relationships

We consider others more important than ourselves.

Unity

We work together in love for the sake of the Gospel.

Trust

We tell one another the truth in love and do what we say we will do.

Local Church

We believe the local church is given the authority, power, and responsibility to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every person in the world.

Kingdom

We join other Christ-followers for the Gospel, the Kingdom of Christ, and the glory of God.
